About The Position

Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned geotechnical and environmental consulting firm with offices throughout the eastern United States, is hiring an Environmental Scientist. The role conducts environmental field sampling and due diligence assessments, analyzes and interprets environmental data, and prepares technical reports in accordance with established guidelines. The position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively, grow professionally, and take on meaningful responsibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 1–4+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and analyze data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor field sampling according to project requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Analyze and interpret field data, laboratory results, and historical information to support technical reports.
• Prepare accurate, concise technical reports following established guidelines.
• Stay up to date with current regulations and industry standards.
