Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science; Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering; or Geology.
  • PE or PG required, or ability to obtain.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines at once.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and respond to unexpected challenges with a positive, proactive approach.
  • Able to pass a background check; US Citizenship or naturalized citizen status.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Nice To Haves

  • A current 40-hour HAZWOPER certificate or up-to-date 8-hour annual refresher is preferred. Candidates without current certification or prior 40-hour training will be required to complete training and obtain certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Working within the construct of various regulatory programs (RCRA, CERCLA, petroleum, RBCA, brownfields, and dry cleaning), implementing with Chapter 62-780 FAC requirements.
  • Travel throughout Florida and Southern Region, as needed, to support ongoing EAR projects in the Southeast.
  • Perform field tasks independently, including groundwater sampling, soil investigations, monitoring well installations, and remediation system operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with regulatory departments, contractors, and property owners to schedule work.
  • Manage task budgets, scopes, and schedules.
  • Prepare work deliverables including natural attenuation monitoring reports, site assessment reports, remedial action plans, operations and maintenance reports, site closure documentation, and similar level of effort work products.
