About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Planning graduates to join our Saint Paul, Minnesota (MN) office. This role involves solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to realize clients' visions for the future built environment. The analyst will develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and client’s practices, procedures, and standards. Responsibilities include conducting technical analysis and preparing environmental documents and permits for transit, roadway, and private development projects under the guidance of senior staff. Some travel may be required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree in relevant majors including: Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Urban Planning, or related majors by Summer 2025
  • Strong written communication skills and general knowledge of environmental science or policy topics and/or planning.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with and balance priorities among multiple projects and provide clear direction to other team members

  • Travel may be required (approximately 10%).
