About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Temecula, California (CA) office is seeking a recent graduate to join as an Environmental Planning Analyst in 2027. This is not a remote position. The role involves assisting with environmental documentation, policy development, and supporting project managers on a variety of land development and infill projects. The analyst will gain expertise in areas such as CEQA/NEPA, sustainability, climate action planning, and environmental clearance for local land use plans, working with infrastructure projects across transportation, transit, land planning, and aviation industries.

Requirements

• A Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program by Summer of 2027 in these majors: City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science/Sustainability/Management, Or Other Related Major

Responsibilities

• Help prepare Environmental Quality Act documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations
• Assist in Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents in support of a full range of infill and/or land development related projects
• Support various project managers and collaborating with team members.
• Gain expertise in: CEQA/NEPA, sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe
• Environmental clearance associated with local comprehensive plans/local land use planning
• Working with infrastructure projects from across industries such as transportation, transit, land planning, aviation
