About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Riverside, California (CA) office is seeking a recent graduate to join as an Environmental Planning Analyst in 2027. This is not a remote position. The role involves assisting with the preparation of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documents, environmental impact reports, and negative and mitigated negative declarations. The analyst will also help with Specific Plans, Master Plans, and other environmental or planning policy documents to support a variety of infill and land development projects. This position offers the opportunity to gain expertise in areas such as CEQA/NEPA, sustainability, climate action planning, ENVISION, LEED, and Salmon-Safe, as well as environmental clearance for local comprehensive plans and land use planning. The role will involve working with infrastructure projects across diverse industries including transportation, transit, land planning, and aviation.

Requirements

  • A Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program by Summer of 2027 in City and Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Science/Sustainability/Management, or Other Related Major

Responsibilities

  • Support various project managers and collaborating with team members
