Environmental Organizer Full Time/Part Time
About The Position
Clean Water Action is hiring full-time and part-time Grassroots Organizers in Northampton, MA to join our Field Canvass team. We are currently fighting to ban PFAS chemicals from household products and drinking water sources. As part of the team, you will engage with communities to educate, fundraise, and mobilize support for Clean Water Action’s policy priorities, such as combating climate change, advocating for clean water affordability, and banning toxic chemicals. You will also raise awareness and funds to sustain critical environmental and public health initiatives, and advocate for bold legislative action to address systemic issues, including utility affordability and corporate accountability.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 day a week commitment
- Passion for environmental and social justice issues.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Interest in nonprofit work, grassroots organizing, or policy advocacy.
- Must be within 1hr driving distance of the office or plan to relocate to qualify for employment.
