Environmental Organizer Full Time/Part Time
About The Position
Clean Water Action is hiring full-time and part-time Grassroots Organizers in Northampton, MA to join their Field Canvass team. The role involves engaging with communities to educate, fundraise, and mobilize support for Clean Water Action’s policy priorities, such as combating climate change, advocating for clean water affordability, and banning toxic chemicals. The organization is currently focused on banning PFAS chemicals from household products and drinking water sources. Organizers will raise awareness and funds for environmental and public health initiatives and advocate for legislative action on issues like utility affordability and corporate accountability.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 day a week commitment for 4+ months
- Passion for environmental and social justice issues.
- Strong oral communication skills.
- Interest in nonprofit work, grassroots organizing, or policy advocacy.
- Must be within 1hr driving distance of the office in Northampton, MA.
