The Southwest Environmental Operations Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining key relationships with Federal Government customers, identifying target requirements for environmental work, and developing proposals, pricing, work plans, and technical requirements to bid and secure awards. This role involves identifying and hiring key personnel and field staff, developing key subcontractors and vendors, implementing office policies, establishing standards and procedures, and fostering a team atmosphere through leadership and employee development. The manager will oversee engineering team activities, monitor quality control, safety, and efficiency for projects, and review documents to address technical issues. Occasional travel to job sites, customer offices, and out-of-state meetings will be required. The position also involves reviewing historical data for cost estimations, interfacing with clients and subcontractors, performing quantity takeoffs, assembling cost estimates, and tracking awarded contracts. Understanding and management of contract P&L is crucial. Other duties may be assigned.
