Environmental Manager (Arizona)

About The Position

The Environmental Manager is responsible for ensuring Haydon remains compliant with environmental regulations concerning areas such as air quality, waste, SWPPP, clean water, and pollution. The position inspects and audits job sites, supports project teams and field workers in addressing environmental issues, manages permits and environmental reporting, and serves as the primary contact for outside environmental agencies. The role requires a self-starting, disciplined individual able to manage deliverables with minimal supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Thorough understanding of ADEQ, EPA, and other regulations and environmental programs.
Thorough understanding of environmental practices.
Ability to manage deliverables independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Inspect and audit job sites regularly to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Visit active job sites to assess work conditions and compliance with established environmental policies.
Work with project management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to environmental issues on job sites.
Conduct routine environmental audits as scheduled.
Pull permits for projects and ensure Haydon adheres to environmental requirements.
Maintain environmental reports within the appropriate technology platform.
Address employees and trade partners who fail to comply with minimum safety standards.
Create and maintain Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and binders.
Serve as the primary contact with outside environmental agencies.
Coordinate with the preconstruction team regarding environmental services pricing for clients.
