About The Position

TRC is seeking motivated Environmental Interns for its Summer 2027 internship program. This paid, full-time position is based in the Fort Collins, Colorado office and is anticipated to run from June through August 2027, with flexible dates. The intern will work under the supervision of Project Managers and Team Leaders and collaborate with engineers, scientists, and technologists. The position may lead to a full-time role after graduation. Applying also submits the candidate’s application to Summer Internship Program openings in more than 150 U.S. locations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with multiple files, sites, and data sets.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or similar tools.
• Able to multitask and communicate effectively.
• Described as communicative, analytical, industrious, proactive, adaptable, dependable, honest, hardworking, and ready to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a portfolio of sites, including reviewing available environmental data and writing reports.
• Work directly with a client in the client’s office one or more days per week.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
• Perform field work and occasional driving as project responsibilities require.
