Menk-USA, LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician to support our commitment to maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Quality/Safety Leader, this role is responsible for ensuring daily compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across operational areas through auditing, inspections, employee support, and regulatory compliance activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety experience or equivalent education.
  • Experience auditing operational environments and understanding high-risk safety requirements.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
  • Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Excellent auditing, inspection, and documentation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to promote safe behaviors and drive compliance throughout the organization.
  • Ability to respond effectively during emergency situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Training in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Spaces, Work at Heights, Electrical Safety, Cutting and Welding, Cranes and Hoists, Emergency Response, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Globally Harmonized System (GHS).
  • ASP, CSP, or CIH certification (or actively pursuing certification).
  • Manufacturing or industrial safety experience.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Audit critical equipment and job tasks for EHS compliance, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), combustible dust, cranes and hoists, machine guarding, confined spaces, electrical safety, and powered industrial trucks.
  • Conduct 5S audits to promote safe and organized work areas.
  • Review Team Leader and Supervisor responsibilities related to EHS compliance.
  • Verify completion of corrective actions from previous inspections and audits.
  • Ensure employees changing positions have completed all required EHS training and qualifications.
  • Review and approve authorizations for high-risk and non-routine work, including work at heights, confined space entry, electrical work, and hot work.
  • Participate in and validate Toolbox Talks, Safety Alerts, and safety meetings.
  • Support contractor safety and non-routine work compliance.
  • Participate in accident and incident investigations.
  • Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Respond to emergency situations and support emergency response procedures.
  • Execute daily audit schedules and maintain audit documentation.
  • Track and report audit findings, corrective action completion, and compliance metrics.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including OSHA recordable rates, audit completion, permit compliance, and contractor safety performance.

Benefits

  • Pay: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on education, certifications, and experience.
