Our Euclid, Ohio facility is committed to maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. We are seeking an experienced EHS professional who can strengthen our safety culture, support regulatory compliance, and partner with employees and leadership across the operation. We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support our Euclid manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Continuous Improvement, the EHS Coordinator is responsible for administering Elmet's environmental, health, and safety programs while ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, and an external environmental consultant to promote a proactive safety culture, reduce risk, maintain environmental compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, safety management systems, and regulatory reporting
  • Experience developing and delivering employee safety training programs
  • Strong understanding of hazard assessments, job safety analyses, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience influencing change and building a positive safety culture across an organization
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States in compliance with ITAR requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Develop and deliver safety training, new hire orientation, annual training plans, and ongoing employee education programs.
  • Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage OSHA recordkeeping, regulatory reporting, workers' compensation, safety metrics, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance activities.
  • Facilitate safety committees, internal audits, emergency preparedness, hazard communication, chemical management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to integrate safety into new equipment, manufacturing processes, capital projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain EHS documentation, permits, training records, emergency response plans, and support a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the facility.
