About The Position

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will develop, implement, and sustain safety and environmental policies to ensure a compliant, zero-injury work environment. This role focuses heavily on the unique chemical, mechanical, and regulatory hazards inherent to aerospace manufacturing. This role requires daily on-site presence at our manufacturing facility in Phoenix, Arizona.

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
Strong understanding of lock-out/tag-out, machine guarding, and chemical safety.
Excellent communication skills for training diverse manufacturing teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR requirements.
Must be able to work 40+ hours per week.
Sufficient verbal and written communication skills.
Good problem solving skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in occupational safety or a related technical field and/or Certified Occupational Safety Specialist or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspects and coordinates routine audits of the manufacturing facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
Develops and implements aerospace-specific health, safety, and chemical hygiene procedures.
Leads incident investigations, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions.
Prepares and conducts training on all mandatory EHS training per federal and state regulations, including but not limited to, emergency procedures, workplace safety, and hazardous waste handling.
Monitors compliance with OSHA, EPA, and AS9100 standards.
Manages the tracking, disposal, and reporting of hazardous waste and industrial discharges.
Ensures Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are updated and accessible.
Serves as the primary point of contact for regulatory agency inspections and audits.
Leads an effective Safety Committee with a focus on employee engagement in the company safety systems.
Maintains and reports safety metrics, OSHA 300 Log, and other pertinent regulatory reports.
