About The Position

Our Manawa, WI, facility, a manufacturer of a variety of quality dry blend products, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist. As an EHS Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment within the facility. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Implementing programs and procedures to address existing and emerging EHS and security issues, ensuring compliance with state, local, and corporate requirements. Maintaining an incident investigation methodology to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Interpreting and providing guidance on policies such as OSHA and EPA to ensure regulatory compliance. Supporting site leadership and employees in achieving zero health and safety incidents annually. Ensuring accurate and timely submission of site regulatory and internal reporting. Monitoring site EHS metrics and addressing undesirable trends proactively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • One or more years of related EHS experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving, and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong personal accountability for high-quality work with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
