About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist supports written safety programs, procedures, and requirements across Diamondback companies. The role helps develop safety policies and procedures, investigate and identify risks, recommend and implement solutions to safety issues, and review safety-related documents. The specialist also supports safety administration and field activities across company facilities, including audits, safety checks, job hazard analyses, injury and illness reporting, environmental and health hazard monitoring, and forklift training and certification. The position is a first-shift role, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

At least 2 years of EHS administrative and field work experience.
At least 1 year of manufacturing and production experience.
High school diploma.
Safety certification.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
Sensitivity to confidential matters.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong time-management skills.
Technical aptitude.
Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.
Candidates must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.

Responsibilities

Support the written safety programs, procedures, and requirements of all Diamondback companies.
Help develop safety policies and procedures, investigate and identify risks, recommend and implement solutions, and review safety-related documents.
Handle administrative responsibilities in Paycor.
Communicate with internal companies about safety material needs.
Assist with monthly safety meetings and audits, and scan employee information into Paycor following monthly meetings.
Potentially conduct audits independently.
Conduct regular safety checks at all facilities and ensure first-aid supplies, including bandages and eyewash, are stocked.
Conduct job hazard analyses and create how-to guides to help avoid hazards on production jobs.
Oversee and monitor the motive fleet GPS app.
Work with managers on corrective actions for drivers.
Maintain mileage logs and provide full reports to the Marine Assistant Controller.
Create usage guides, documentation, and process instructions.
Monitor and assist production with injury and illness reporting, and maintain the internal injury and illness reporting log.
Assist Human Resources with OSHA reporting requirements.
Perform in-process work surveillances and safety surveillances, and conduct final work-package reviews after work is completed for EHS.
Monitor compliance with Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems, workmanship standards, and customer requirements.
Monitor or test workplaces as necessary for environmental and health hazards.
Provide forklift training and certification to required new and existing employees.
