Provide EHS leadership, guidance, resources, and support for the Cabot and Montpelier campuses. Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement. Lead safety initiatives that foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset. Conduct new hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company requirements. Partner with leaders and employees to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards. Serve as the primary resource and champion for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports. Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements. Recommend and implement appropriate engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators. Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections. Assist with workers' compensation case management, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention initiatives. Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across both campuses. Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting requirements. Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources teams to support business objectives and employee well-being.
