About The Position

The Environmental Health and Safety Planner develops and implements environmental and safety programs and policies, conducts audits and inspections, trains employees, investigates accidents, and stays current with applicable regulations. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with standard hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel is less than 10%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three years of related experience and training.
• Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas.
• Ability to solve problems, identify root causes, and create countermeasures.
• Understanding of the importance of data governance.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in environmental science, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental and safety programs and policies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide employees with training and education on environmental and safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents, identify their causes, and determine ways to prevent them in the future.
