About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Environmental Generalist to join our growing Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) consulting practice. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about environmental science and eager to make an impact in the field of EHSS consulting. As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects while developing valuable skills and knowledge in environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in the environmental field.
  • Strong self-motivation and the ability to work effectively with peers, clients, and independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Basic understanding of federal and/or state regulatory programs/statutes.
  • Comfortable working in both office and field/industrial environments.
  • Interest in regulatory compliance issues and a passion to learn and participate in a wide range of environmental, industrial hygiene, and HazMat assessment projects.
  • Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.
  • Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • AHERA asbestos inspector, abatement worker/supervisor, etc., and/or EPA Lead Inspector Technician accreditation/licensing preferred, but will provide training for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regulatory compliance analyses, audits, and assessments for various
  • Conduct Industrial Hygiene evaluations, including Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments and HazMat (asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, etc.) inspections.
  • Conduct technical research for multimedia compliance projects.
  • Perform field studies and data gathering activities supporting development of regulatory document packages and compliance management documents to ensure clients meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development of safety programs.
  • Assist in the development of stormwater and spill prevention plans.
  • Collect samples of various environmental and building contaminants using a variety of sample media and sample collection instrumentation and equipment.
  • Prepare project reports, presenting interpretation of sample data and conclusions and recommendations in a clear, concise manner.
