About The Position

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is seeking an Early Career Environmental Engineer/Scientist with 0-5 years of consulting experience to support environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, site investigation, and remediation practices in their Edina, MN office. The role involves working with a team of Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals, with expectations to work both in the field and in the office. Responsibilities include field documentation with drilling teams, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sampling, monitoring well installation and sampling, and records review and data analysis. The company emphasizes a collaborative environment with mentorship from seasoned professionals and encourages sharing technical knowledge. As part of a 'One Company' environment, employees may assist on projects outside their primary responsibilities. In the office, tasks include preparing detailed field documentation, data analysis, and reporting. Exposure to Ecological Services, Construction Management, and Geotechnical practices may also occur.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering/Science or related field
  • 0-5 years of related environmental consulting or other relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
  • Perform technical execution of projects under the supervision of project managers
  • Ability to follow directions, and work independently or in a team setting
  • Strong communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel locally and throughout the nation
  • A valid driver’s license in good standing
