About The Position

Dart can offer a mid or senior level Engineer role based on the successful candidate's qualifications. This position is onsite 5 days per week with typical hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in chemistry, biological sciences, environmental science or relevant related field and at least three (3) years of related engineering experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience interpreting environmental compliance including air, water and waste management, and how it applies to the company’s processes and equipment.
Experience implementing ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 requirements in a manufacturing environment
Experience with permitting requirements
Ability to successfully prioritize, and manage large, complex projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult issues

Nice To Haves

Prefer procurement experience to include development and implementation of environmental services contract
Prefer knowledge of compliance based auditing

Responsibilities

Manage and prioritize projects or programs of large size, scope, and duration focused on reducing the company’s environmental, health, and safety risks
Lead and coordinate project work with other engineers, procurement and manufacturing.
Lead and oversee auditing on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local laws including air, water, soil, and waste
Provide technical guidance and oversight to production facilities, corporate departments, trade groups, or the public
Lead, participate in, and provide technical support for environmental, health, and safety evaluations, investigations, audits, and remediation
Oversee and audit the environmental management of hazardous materials
Lead and/or support company initiatives and programs such as recycling, greenhouse gas inventories, and waste and resource minimization
Provide product regulatory expertise to groups developing new products and processes to ensure sustainability and compliance requirements are evaluated and included in design.
Troubleshoot, analyze, identify, evaluate, propose, implement, and document engineering and regulatory solutions to environmental issues
Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to gather information and draft reports for improvement of equipment, processes, and products
Create test parameters and participate in the testing and implementation of engineering solutions
Establish continuous improvement plans in the areas of efficiency, quality, safety, or service can be improved
Mentor other engineers
