BAE Systems is seeking an outstanding Environmental Engineer for an opportunity to support the U.S. Air Force's (USAF) development and acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) – the Sentinel. The Environmental Engineer will support the Sentinel development within the Systems Engineering and Integration Division by ensuring program compliance with applicable Federal, State, Local, Department of Defense (DoD), and USAF environmental regulations. Additionally, the successful engineer will help guide the development of ICBM-unique hardware for the Sentinel weapon system through preparing and maintaining National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Programmatic Environmental Safety and Health Evaluation (PESHE), and Demilitarization and Disposal Plan documentation, Special Studies & Analyses, and briefing materials (briefings, point papers, and white papers). As a BAE team member, you are part of an Integrated Support Contract, meaning, that BAE assists and advises the USAF with technical expertise to manage the prime contractor in developing the weapon system. This position will entail reviewing prime contractor technical documentation, specifications, and design drawings, participation in technical reviews, and providing sound advice/suggestions within this field to the Government customer. As part of the Systems Engineering and Integration Team, the job coordinates environmental requirements with other specialty engineering disciplines to achieve total system integration.
