About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to support our Remediation team within our Environment business line. This position will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with site investigation, design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment and surface water remediation programs, data analysis, remediation construction and program management, and report preparation. This role is approximately 60% field and 40% office. AECOM's teams work on complex remediation projects, accessing the right resources from across the company to support project needs. Requirements

BA/BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 0 years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Valid US Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screening.
Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Position requires frequent traveling to field locations in personal vehicle. Locations and distances vary and could include occasional overnight travel and operation of rental vehicle.
Frequently lifting, carrying, and loading equipment such as sample coolers, without assistance up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

General knowledge of basic engineering, chemistry, and environmental sciences.
Experience and/or demonstrated interest in environmental remediation.
Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office suite software applications.

Ability to travel locally, including occasional extended travel.
Previous experience operating a full-size pickup truck or large sport utility vehicle.
Mechanical aptitude is strongly desired.
Passing Engineering-in-Training (FE) test is strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

Project field and office support for site assessment and remediation projects.
Site visits at industrial, federal, commercial, and municipal client facilities.
Data collection and analysis for environmental compliance and sustainability, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
Environmental sampling (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, stormwater, wastewater, air, and hazardous waste).
Development of technical memoranda and reports.
Building analytic and engineering design skills under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Use of computer software (e.g. CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
Local travel is likely and U.S travel possible and project dependent.
Field work in locations as appropriate (approximately 60%).
