About The Position

Home Forward is seeking a part-time Environmental & Emergency Project Coordinator. The Environmental and Emergency Project Coordinator supports Home Forward’s strategic and operational objectives by assisting the Department Director in creating, implementing, managing, and maintaining policies, response plans, programs, and procedures that improve housing conditions, reduce health risks, build resilience and facilitate a safer environment for residents and staff. In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant emergency preparedness and environmental goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of related work experience in office, technical, administrative, and project coordination support, preferably in environmental science/policy/safety and emergency management work required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred with a focus in Environmental Science, Policy or Safety, or another related field.
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience may be gained through lived experience as well as education, professional experience, volunteering, or other means.

  • Assists the Department Director in creating, implementing, managing, and maintaining policies, response plans, programs, and procedures that improve housing conditions, reduce health risks, build resilience and facilitate a safer environment for residents and staff.
  • Collaborates with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant emergency preparedness and environmental goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.
