About The Position
The Environmental Compliance Technician supports the safe and compliant management of customer waste streams through waste profiling support, profile data entry and review, regulatory review, data management, and technical assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred
- Or 1+ year of experience in hazardous waste management or a related technical role
- Basic knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and state environmental regulations preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
- Ability to learn and apply environmental regulations, processes, and systems effectively
Responsibilities
- Validate disposal approvals, assign material codes, determine vendor selection, and maintain approval data in SAP and profiling systems.
- Assist sales, customer service, and branch teams with profile and approval-related information.
- Maintain accurate waste stream, vendor, and compliance data to support manifesting and labeling requirements.
- Identify and escalate compliance concerns to support adherence to applicable regulations.
- Review approvals, technology changes, and disposal costs to support margin objectives.
- Stay current on regulatory changes and complete required RCRA and DOT training.
