About The Position

As an Environmental Attendant Lead with Corewell Health, you will assist the Supervisor in coordinating and facilitating daily operations, addressing employee and customer concerns, and ensuring daily tasks are completed. You will conduct quality audit inspections, assign and adjust work schedules, coordinate employee work assignments, and provide ongoing support and instruction to Environmental Services team members. Communication and collaboration across the team and departments help ensure continuity of service and foster a positive work environment. The role may require working across department sites to meet coverage and business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.
• At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician (CHEST) credential from the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE).
• 1 year of preferred experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign and adjust work schedules as necessary.
• Coordinate and inspect employee work assignments and complete quality assurance inspections.
• Provide ongoing instruction to Environmental Services employees according to department standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members and across departments to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Clean, maintain, and properly store equipment used in performing duties.
• Act on behalf of the upline to assist in resolving work-related issues, and report issues to the upline when appropriate.
• Take ownership of various daily operations and initiatives.
• Work across department sites as needed for coverage and business needs.
