About The Position

This position is responsible for completing project-based ventures assigned by their manager in a fast-paced environment. The role involves supporting the Environmental (ENV) Team in implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS), which includes developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documenting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). The assistant will review regulatory standards, incorporate information into existing procedures, and develop new ones to ensure company compliance. They will also assist in training to increase awareness and use of the EHS Management System, conduct inspections, document action items, and collaborate on developing corrective actions. Additionally, the role supports the ENV electronic database system, documentation, record management, and participates in ENV investigations.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited university. Junior or Senior Status preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Aid Environmental (ENV) Team in implementing an Environmental Management System (EMS), involving developing SOPs and documenting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Review appropriate regulatory standards and incorporate information into existing procedures or develop new procedures to ensure company compliance in documentation.
  • Assist ENV Team in training to increase awareness and use of the EHS Management System and deployment of such policies and procedures across designated departments
  • Develop and conduct inspections to ensure compliance. Document action items and collaborate with the ENV and Management teams on developing appropriate root cause and corrective actions.
  • Support ENV electronic database system and documentation.
  • Support ENV record management
  • Participate in ENV investigations; contribute towards corrective and preventive actions.
  • Discover, develop and implement solutions to improve environmental performance of the organization
