About The Position

Aquatic Vegetation Control, Inc. (AVC) is hiring Environmental Applicators to perform vegetation management throughout Palm Beach County. As an Applicator, you'll work independently to help protect Florida's lakes, canals, wetlands, and conservation lands by controlling invasive vegetation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in working independently, and wants a long-term career with a stable company. No vegetation management experience is required. We provide paid training and will help you obtain your Florida pesticide applicator license. AVC is a 100% employee-owned company that has proudly served Florida for forty years.

Requirements

Dependable and self-motivated
Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Enjoy working outdoors in Florida's heat, humidity, standing water, and uneven terrain
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record
Willing to obtain an FDACS pesticide applicator license within six months (training provided)
Able to pass a background check
Committed to working in a Drug-Free Workplace

Responsibilities

Perform herbicide applications to control invasive vegetation safely and responsibly
Work independently while managing assigned work areas and daily responsibilities
Operate company trucks, boats, trailers, and specialized application equipment
Inspect and maintain equipment daily
Follow all environmental regulations, safety procedures, and company policies
Maintain accurate application records and daily reports
Help protect Florida's waterways, wetlands, and conservation lands
