About The Position

The Entry Phlebotomist I and Lobby Experience Coordinator assists with patient care by greeting patients upon arrival and answering questions or concerns with care and compassion. The candidate will maintain the integrity of the waiting area, assist with breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable, and utilize phlebotomy skills to grow within the organization. The role involves direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures in a safe and accurate manner. This position focuses on customer care, process skills, sensitivity to confidentiality, and the accuracy of patient information, while primarily serving as a lobby greeter to assist with check-ins and cover staffing shortages.

Requirements

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion while assisting with check-ins in the lobby through either a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet.
• Be willing to work both in the lobby and in a draw room with patients to help with breaks that need to be covered.
• Perform with confidence both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• High level of customer service experience and skills are required.
• Keyboard and data entry experience is required.
• Phlebotomy experience is required, including internship or externship experience.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience.
• Phlebotomy experience is required.
