About The Position

Webco's Southwest Tube is seeking an Entry Level Manufacturing professional for an open interview day. This role involves operating various machines, including overhead cranes and tube-forming mills. Responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, processing tubing, ensuring quality, and maintaining equipment safety. The position requires reviewing computerized work lists, prioritizing orders, and communicating with other operators. Daily operational and safety checklists must be completed.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and speak English is preferred.
  • Mathematical skills equivalent to high school level including the ability to do decimals, fractions and averages required.
  • Must be able to communicate, both in written and verbal form, effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
  • Regular attendance at work and punctuality are essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of a variety of machines ranging for a six-ton overhead crane to a tube-forming mill.
  • Loading/unloading materials onto/off of machines.
  • Processing tubing through equipment.
  • Ensuring quality of tubes being produced and shipped out.
  • Ensuring that the equipment is in a safe operating condition.
  • Review the computerized work list for the equipment, locate the available material and prioritizes the orders to be processed.
  • Communicates with the other operators to formulate the run order of material.
  • Loads/unloads various machines to include conveyors.
  • Performs any necessary set-up during shift.
  • Complete daily Operational and Safety Checklists.
