Entry-Level Investigator

Ethos Risk Services•Mercer Island, WA

About The Position

Ethos Risk Services is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Field Investigator and provides a fully paid investigator training program; no prior experience is necessary. Training begins in a virtual classroom and transitions to on-the-job training, with ongoing development and support. The company also pays investigator licensing fees and provides guidance through the licensing process. Surveillance equipment is provided and may be kept after one year of employment. Investigators conduct preliminary research, perform covert field surveillance from their vehicles, capture video evidence, and prepare detailed, court-ready reports. They finalize case files by submitting reports and uploading footage using a personal laptop, and work with a field supervisor for guidance and mentorship. Assignments are generally intended to be within a reasonable drive of the investigator’s residence, though occasional longer travel and overnight stays may be required; overnight stays are covered by the company. Most surveillance cases start at 6:00 a.m. End times vary with activity, and a typical workday may last 3–12 hours. Weekends and holidays are common workdays. This independent role often involves long periods alone in a vehicle, in any weather, while staying alert and prepared to use videography equipment without external distractions. A background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable local and state laws and regulations.
