Entry-Level Inspector
About The Position
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Inspector based in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. The inspector monitors construction work for conformance with quality, performance, specifications, and code requirements. The role performs daily field inspections, keeps inspection records, participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning, tracks quality assurance progress, and contributes to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. The position works under immediate supervision and follows instructions and established guidelines; previous experience may not be required. The role requires a valid U.S. driver’s license for visits to project sites, clients, and AECOM offices, and selected candidates must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review. The position is on-site. Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization and relocation are not available. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.
- Selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work.
- Previous roadway- or transportation-related construction and/or inspection experience.
