Looking for a lifetime career? Apply today! Are you an entry-level Electrical Engineer or Computer Engineer with a strong interest in development, testing and support of embedded control systems? The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a mission-driven organization that develops propulsion plant instrumentation and control (I&C) systems and training platforms for the U.S. Navy's Nuclear Propulsion Program. Electrical Systems Engineers are at the center of NNL's mission providing direct support for US Navy current and future surface ships, including Nimitz-class and Gerald R. Ford-class aircraft carriers and the future Battleship platform. In this position, you will: Build on your Electrical/Computer engineering knowledge and develop strong Systems Engineering and troubleshooting skills Develop a deep understanding of the design and development of naval nuclear power plants and the functions of instrumentation and control systems to provide safe and reliable operation Interact directly with the US Navy's nuclear fleet to assess problems, provide emergent support, and develop and support training of sailors Join this mission-focused team and support the US Navy's current nuclear-powered aircraft carrier fleet and future carrier and battleship platforms! Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field.
  • All candidates must be U.S. citizens.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
  • All candidates must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong Academic performance - GPA 3.0 or above
  • Experience working in a team environment with team members and stakeholders in a related technical discipline
  • Academic Project, Intern or Co-Op experience in Systems, Hardware, or Software Development

Responsibilities
