About The Position

As an electrical engineer for Undersea Mission Systems, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Electrical Hardware Design. This role involves working with complex electronic schematics, performing circuit simulations, and troubleshooting hardware anomalies. The position is part of a research-oriented team developing practical solutions for national security, with opportunities for continuous learning and development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Clear understanding of electrical engineering processes, concepts, principles, and theories
  • Familiar with electrical engineering computer-aided design (CAD) tools and circuit analysis/design
  • Creative thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with EDA/schematic capture tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad)
  • Familiarity with PCB layout considerations to support layout team during fabrication phase

Responsibilities

  • Electrical Hardware Design
  • Read, interpret, and understand complex electronic schematics for a Circuit Card Assembly (CCA)
  • Perform or support circuit simulation to validate functional behavior pre-fabrication
  • Author and review formal test procedures for CCA-level functional testing
  • Troubleshoot hardware anomalies at the board level using signal tracing and diagnostic techniques
  • Identify opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
