VHB’s Site Investigation & Remediation team is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Scientist, Geologist, or Engineer to join their New York City office. Requirements

• Ability to work in office and field settings (this position requires traveling within New York City, New York State, and nearby states)
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated with abilities to problem solve and work independently
• Documents work in a detailed manner and keeps data and other information organized
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or Civil or Environmental Engineering
• 0-1 year of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience required
• OSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications required after 30 days of employment
• Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

• experience with AutoCAD, ESRI ArcGIS Pro and EQuIS or other laboratory data management software a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage effective site investigation and remediation field programs
• Provide hands-on support during field exploration and testing
• Interpret and communicate investigation findings
• Leverage technology to support data management and visualization
• Participate in environmental due diligence activities
• Write technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memoranda
