About The Position

Wade Trim is hiring an Entry Level Civil/Mechanical Engineer for its Industrial Commercial Energy Team in the Orlando office to help improve natural gas infrastructure. The role involves designing site development projects and supporting engineering calculations, design documentation, permitting, project coordination, inspections, and client relations. A flexible hybrid-remote schedule is available after 30 days of employment; Wade Trim's hybrid work schedule brings team members together in the office at least two days a week and allows virtual work from home on other days.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Zero to three years of related experience.
Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
Self-motivated and able to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge or experience with AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and/or Revit.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) qualification.

Responsibilities

Design site development projects, including commercial, institutional, and residential plans and analysis.
Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives.
Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards.
Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and Revit.
Review plans and specifications.
Prepare or assist with permit submittals.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
Assist with or review the scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks.
Monitor task budgets and progress.
Document design changes and communications.
Conduct on-site inspections as needed.
Prepare project status and other reports.
Assist in preparing proposals.
Assist Project Managers.
Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings, including client progress, plan review, and preconstruction meetings.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
