About The Position

Freyer & Laureta, Inc. (F&L), an established full-service civil engineering consulting firm serving the greater Bay Area, is hiring an Entry Level Engineer for its Alameda office. The role assists with a range of civil engineering services and offers opportunities to learn from experienced professionals while supporting planning, design, and project work for public and private clients, nonprofits, and municipalities. Work includes civil engineering design and coordination across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Minimum B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in municipal and subdivision infrastructure design and mapping; internship experience qualifies.
• AutoCAD proficiency and interest in preparing grading, drainage, paving, and utility plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to design multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• EIT Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support the F&L business development team.
• Perform civil engineering design using AutoCAD.
• Manage and design multiple projects at one time.
• Create and coordinate project materials and presentations.
• Work closely with clients and/or public agency staff.
• Prepare grading, drainage, paving, and utility plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
