About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Entry-Level Automotive Painter at its Belton, Missouri location. The painter prepares vehicles for painting by priming and performing final sanding, and also performs buffing, touch-ups, paint mixing, and airbrushing. The position is based in a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center and uses state-of-the-art tools. Carvana offers training programs for entry-level employees to help their skills and pay progress. Applicants must have at least one year of professional automotive painting experience. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check, and the role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional automotive painting experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Prime vehicles and perform final sanding before painting.
• Perform buffing and touch-ups.
• Mix paint and perform airbrushing.
• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
