About The Position
Friedman Vartolo LLP is seeking an entry-level Associate Attorney admitted, or pending admission, in New York to join its growing real estate and default services law firm. The firm is looking for a motivated, hardworking attorney who is ready to put in the work to succeed and contribute to the firm’s growth. The ideal candidate is driven, communicates effectively, and can deliver the quality of work clients expect. The position is based in the firm’s Garden City, New York office and may involve travel to local state courts.
Requirements
- Must be admitted, or pending admission, in New York.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and research skills.
- Ability to appear at settlement conferences, status conferences, dispositive motions, and hearings.
Nice To Haves
- Prior lender-side default services experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and file summons and complaints, dispositive motions, and other relevant responsive pleadings.
- Travel to local state courts as needed for settlement conferences, status conferences, dispositive motions, and hearings.
