About The Position

LG NOVA, LG’s North America Innovation Center, is seeking an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the incubation of a new AI native venture within LG NOVA in underexplored or high-friction domains outside Health and Cleantech. This is a founder-track role focused on developing, validating, and launching a scalable business—culminating in a spin-out backed by our internal venture fund. The role is for a founding CEO to build a category-defining company at the intersection of AI, enterprise software, and business performance. This is a true day-zero role where you will define the product thesis, secure the first cohort of design partners, hire the founding team, raise the seed round, and build the commercial and technical foundation for the business. The ideal candidate operates comfortably across product, go-to-market, and company building, understanding enterprise technology adoption, complex buying processes, and translating emerging technical capabilities into clear business value. You are equally credible with technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Proven builder mindset with experience operating in zero‑to‑one or highly ambiguous environments, ideally taking AI‑native products from concept through early market validation.
  • AI‑native product and business leadership with demonstrated experience building AI‑first products, including shaping product vision, business models, and defensible differentiation rooted in AI capabilities rather than incremental feature layers.
  • Strong technical foundation in AI systems, with technical expertise with modern AI tools and platforms, including applied AI/ML, cloud infrastructure, and integration of software and (where relevant) hardware systems. Comfortable engaging deeply with engineers, architects, and technical customers to guide technical direction.
  • Product + commercial instincts, with the ability to translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear customer value propositions, enterprise‑ready solutions, and scalable revenue opportunities.
  • Enterprise AI go‑to‑market experience, understanding how AI solutions are evaluated, piloted, purchased, and scaled within enterprise environments, including navigating longer sales cycles, security/compliance considerations, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Track record of early‑stage traction, demonstrating the ability to find product‑market fit for technically complex products and build a repeatable sales or partnership motion.
  • Ecosystem credibility and network, with a strong network across AI stakeholders—such as technical talent, enterprise buyers, partners, and potential design customers—with the ability to activate those relationships to accelerate early traction.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, with a bias toward action, resilience, and comfort with high‑variance outcomes inherent in building an AI venture from day zero.
  • Team‑building capability, with experience hiring and leading early founding teams, including senior technical talent, and establishing a strong execution culture from inception.

Responsibilities

  • Define the company strategy and category position
  • Establish a clear point of view on the problem space and position the company as a category leader
  • Own the end-to-end build of the business, from first principles through early traction, including product direction, GTM, and initial revenue
  • Secure early design partners and customers
  • Build conviction through real-world deployments and translate learnings into product direction
  • Develop and execute a focused go-to-market strategy
  • Combine founder-led sales, partnerships, and scalable channels to drive early adoption
  • Guide product evolution from early solution to scalable platform
  • Balance speed, customer needs, and long-term differentiation
  • Raise external capital and manage investor relationships
  • Lead fundraising efforts and communicate a compelling, evidence-backed narrative
  • Build and lead a high-performing founding team
  • Attract top talent and establish a strong execution culture from the outset
  • Drive core business fundamentals, focusing on early revenue, customer retention, and scalable unit economics

Benefits

  • No-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical, dental, vision and prescription benefits.
  • Auto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with several investment options.
  • Generous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time.
  • Performance based Short-Term Incentives (varies by role).
  • Access to confidential mental health resources to help you and your loved ones improve your quality of life.
  • Personal fitness goal incentives.
  • Family orientated benefits such as paid parental leave and support for families raising children with learning, social, behavioral challenges, or developmental disabilities.
  • Group Rate Life and Disability Insurance.
  • Eligible for the relevant benefit programs offered through our partner agencies (for temporary/contractors).
