About The Position

The Entertainment Manager is responsible for developing and managing the overall entertainment calendar for the casino. This includes determining performance dates, times, locations, and the entertainment mix. The role involves sourcing and evaluating new talent, negotiating contracts, and ensuring entertainment stays within budget. The manager will analyze act performance, manage purchasing for supplies and décor, and maintain vendor relationships. Collaboration with the Marketing department for campaigns and promotions, as well as coordination with various other departments (Security, IT, F&B, Facilities, Gaming, Hotel) for events, is crucial. This position also involves coaching, training, and developing department team members, managing payroll and disciplinary actions, and attending required meetings. The manager must maintain constant awareness of casino offerings to inform guests and exhibit strong leadership and collaboration skills. They will provide timely updates and recommendations to the Director and perform additional duties as assigned to support the casino's success and guest experience.

  • Be able to obtain/maintain Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma gaming license
  • Ability to maneuver in the casino and routinely lift up 25 pounds and occasionally as much as 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours and maneuver in or outside the casino.
  • Visual acuity to observe and react to handle internal and external customer complaints or questions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, twist and stretch/reach above head.
  • Have good dexterity in fingers

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages the overall entertainment calendar.
  • Determine and approve performance date, times, locations, and entertainment mix.
  • Source and evaluate new bands, entertainers, DJ’s, specialty acts, and other entertainment opportunities.
  • Negotiate fees, contracts, riders, etc. that are associate with bands and entertainment.
  • Ensure entertainment stays within approved monthly and annual budget.
  • Create and complete pre-forma and post forma for all entertainment events.
  • Analyze weekly and quarterly acts by using headcounts, F&B impacts, expenses, feedback, etc.
  • Make recommendations on which acts should be renewed, changed or discontinued.
  • Approve setups and all production needs prior to the events.
  • Manage purchasing for all supplies, equipment, décor and operational needs.
  • Maintain vendor and entertainment relationship.
  • Work with Marketing to develop entertainment campaigns, events and promotional strategies.
  • Coordinate with Security, IT, F&B, Facilities, Gaming, Hotel and other departments for weekly and larger events.
  • Coach, train, schedule, and develop department team members, including department and casino SOP’s and P&P’s and hold accountable for event execution, reporting, content and guest experience.
  • Maintains constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered to inform guests.
  • Exhibits superb team leadership/development and collaborating ability while working with all departments.
  • Maintain communication with the Director, providing timely updates on department operations, upcoming events, performance, budgets, contracts, challenges and any departmental needs requiring awareness, support and approval.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions when presenting departmental needs or concerns to the Director.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including assisting with casino promotions, special events, property initiatives and other operational needs to support the overall success of the casino and guest experience.
  • Manage all department payroll and disciplinary.
  • Attend all required meetings.
