About The Position

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated student for an Entertainment Engineering Internship to join their team for Summer 2027. This position offers hands-on experience supporting the design and development of entertainment-related projects, including unique structures and multidisciplinary engineering solutions, under the guidance of experienced engineers. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor and are required to attend planned activities.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an ABET-Accredited College Engineering Program
Valid Driver’s License
Pre-employment drug screening and background check are conditions of employment.
Motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and development of structural systems for entertainment and specialty projects
Support testing of materials, preparation of specifications, and process studies
Contribute to research investigations and the preparation of reports and technical documentation
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on multidisciplinary design and engineering projects
Assist with construction drawings for concrete, steel, and wood structures
Participate in field activities, site observations, and construction administration tasks as needed
Review input from project managers and make adjustments to design work as directed
Gain exposure to all phases of design and project delivery within the entertainment engineering practice
