About The Position

The Entertainment Coordinator is responsible for developing an environment that consistently creates positive excitement for guests through interactive bar activities, scheduled events, and games. This role involves promoting gaming and lodging, staying updated on entertainment trends, and assisting the Marketing Coordinator in boosting guest interaction. The coordinator will also be responsible for maintaining venue stage equipment, handling difficult guests, resolving service failures, and performing data analysis to improve efficiencies and services. Additionally, they will keep management informed of business-impacting changes, confirm stage lineups, finalize contracts, coordinate day-of logistics, and manage talent/band needs such as hotel and transportation. This role also involves assisting the Marketing department with VIP events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age per gaming regulations.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license and a state issued I.D.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to beginning employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years of Casino experience preferred.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Suite and Adobe.
  • Knowledge of entertainment industry equipment and software.
  • Ability to network and establish relationships with prospective guests and groups that display and/or demonstrate potential gaming value or bar revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Greets guests in the Casino/Venue and participates in all social events and special promotions.
  • Promotes gaming at GLC and lodging at The Lodge at Grand Lake Casino.
  • Anticipates new trends in entertainment culture.
  • Assists Marketing Coordinator in boosting interaction with our guests regarding events.
  • Responsible for maintaining Venue stage equipment and replacing items when needed.
  • Handles difficult guests and situations in a calm, professional and prudent manner.
  • Identifies and resolves service failures, taking immediate action to resolve service gaps.
  • Performs data analysis on the Venue to increase efficiencies and to improve products or services.
  • Keeps management informed of changes that may impact business.
  • Confirms stage line-ups, drafts and finalizes contracts, and coordinates the day-of logistics.
  • Coordinates hotel, transportation, and other needs for talent/bands.
  • Assists Marketing department in VIP events.
