About The Position

This is a temporary, onsite IT Project Manager role focused on enterprise systems, specifically billing systems, located in Houston, TX. The project is estimated to last 12+ months with possible extensions. The role requires 100% of the time to be spent at the client's site, with no telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement, and candidates must be able to relocate as required. The project involves managing a major C&I gas and power billing consolidation initiative, merging six disparate billing systems into a single platform, as well as supporting other sales-facing and pricing systems.

Requirements

• Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Houston TX
• Experience with IT project management with increasing delivery ownership (8+ years)
• Experience with enterprise system implementations or transformations
• Experience with billing, pricing, sales, or financial systems in a complex business environment
• Experience with project financials, WBS structures, and IT governance

Nice To Haves

• Experience with energy retail, utilities, or regulated industries
• Experience with C&I Gas and Power retail business models
• Experience managing projects with multiple systems, vendors, and integrations
• Experience with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery approaches

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle project management for C&I power and gas IT initiatives, from intake and planning through execution, go-live, and stabilization
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, RAID logs, dependency maps, and cutover strategies
• Serve as primary IT Project Manager for a major C&I gas and power billing consolidation initiative, merging six disparate billing systems into a single platform
• Lead testing strategy and execution (SIT, UAT, parallel billing, mock cutovers) and own go-live readiness and post-implementation stabilization
• Manage delivery of IT projects supporting pricing engines, pricing governance workflows, and deal structuring tools
• Lead IT delivery for sales-facing systems including CRM, quoting, proposal generation, and contract workflows
• Own project-level financial tracking, capitalization decisions, forecasting, and governance alignment
