About The Position

Magic Spoon reimagines your childhood breakfasts favorites with more protein, less sugar, and more fun. Since launching in 2019, we've brought our unbelievably tasty cereal to over one million customers online and over 20,000 stores nationwide. With our recently launched Protein Pastries, alongside our Cereal, Protein Treats and Protein Granola, we're continuing to find new ways to make mornings magical - all made possible by our incredible team. We're looking for a Senior Manager of IT & Enterprise Systems to own the systems, tools, and technology partnerships that keep Magic Spoon running. You'll own our ERP day-to-day, run our software implementations and AI rollouts, manage tech budgets and vendor relationships, and lead a team of two. This is a hands-on execution role for someone energized by solving real problems, comfortable jumping between systems work and cross-functional partnership, and rigorous about prioritization in a fast paced environment. You'll work closely with the Chief of Staff to translate business priorities into well-run technology projects. This is a full time role with a preference for in person/hybrid work based in Hudson Square, New York City (Tue/Wed/Thu in office). We are also open to remote candidates across the US.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 years managing a team
  • Hands-on experience implementing, administering, and improving an ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system (i.e. NetSuite)
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of leading software implementations from evaluation through rollout and adoption
  • Demonstrated rigor around prioritization: you can hold the line on scope and sequencing when the asks pile up
  • Experience in a CPG, DTC, or retail environment strongly preferred; you understand how IT supports a business that ships physical product through complex retail and eCommerce channels
  • Experience with data warehouse architecture and familiarity with structuring a variety of data sources into actionable end user formats to drive business decision making
  • Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships, with a track record of negotiating well and holding vendors accountable
  • Excellent communicator who can partner across functions and translate between technical and business audiences
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and a clear point of view on how to drive adoption across a business
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer/Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States, as we are not able to offer sponsorship of Work Visas.

Responsibilities

  • Own Magic Spoon's ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) day-to-day, ensuring it runs reliably and supports the business as we grow
  • Manage integrations between BC and connected systems (Shopify, EDI, 3PLs, finance and reporting tools), troubleshooting issues and rolling out enhancements as needs evolve
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to make sure the ERP supports key workflows such as month end close, reporting, and decision-making
  • Execute ERP enhancements and module rollouts in partnership with internal stakeholders and external implementation partners
  • Run software evaluations, implementations, and rollouts from requirements gathering through training and adoption
  • Lead the rollout and adoption of AI tools across the company: identify high-leverage use cases, get tools into people's hands, train teams, and help every function get more out of AI
  • Partner with department leads (Finance, Operations, Commercial, People, Marketing) to understand their needs and help them pick and implement the right tools
  • Stay current on what's working at peer companies and bring strong recommendations to the leadership team
  • Maintain Magic Spoon’s overall systems architecture and tech stack, pressure testing current needs and future state requirements/design
  • Deeply understand our data architecture and requirements to best support the team in delivering accurate and reliable data to support business processes and analysis
  • Guide IT team to support departments upleveling analytics fluency and using data to drive business decisions
  • Maintain a clear, prioritized IT roadmap that reflects company priorities, with transparent tradeoffs when capacity is constrained
  • Run IT projects with rigor: clear scope, timelines, owners, and success criteria, delivered on schedule and on budget
  • Manage the IT budget end-to-end: software contracts, renewals, hardware, and vendor spend
  • Track spend rigorously, identify opportunities to consolidate or optimize tools, and bring a clear ROI lens to every investment
  • Run vendor selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing relationship management; hold vendors accountable to service levels and value delivery
  • Lead and develop a team of two across IT Specialist and Data Product Engineer
  • Set clear goals, give regular feedback, and create growth opportunities for both
  • Foster a problem-solving, business priority-centric culture within the IT function
