About The Position

The Solutions Consultant role is hands-on and detail-oriented, focused on understanding the business needs of animal health and crop protection manufacturers and providing tailored solutions to their biggest challenges with sales and marketing data. This role emphasizes the ability to comprehend complex data systems and translate business requirements into effective solutions through cross-functional collaboration and business curiosity. As a solutions consultant, you will engage extensively with Sales, Service Delivery, and Product Management teams, ensuring efficient communication and implementation of solutions. Your objectives are geared towards designing consistent, repeatable, and scalable solutions that positively contribute to AGDATA’s technological, operational, and financial growth plans. You will leverage your deep understanding of complex data systems to address the specific needs of our clients and deliver innovative solutions that drive their success.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree
  • 3+ years’ experience overall, including at least 3 years as a Solutions Consultant, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Business Analyst
  • Must understand AGILE development practices
  • Must be willing to develop an understanding of the agricultural and/or animal health business
  • Expertise in eliciting software/data requirements and turning that information into a creative vision for a new solution
  • High degree of communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Exceptional analytic skills and conceptual thinking ability
  • Ability to successfully influence and execute in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with clients
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly
  • Must exhibit a high degree of self-motivation, creativity, and initiative
  • Team player with strong sense of responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Sales to understand business needs and create a vision for new solutions that provide enhanced value, effectively communicating this vision to clients
  • Facilitate deep dives with clients to understand their pain points and functional business requirements
  • Leading software and field demonstrations, training and educational meetings
  • Build compelling value propositions in conjunction with Sales that clearly articulates how the proposed solution addresses the client’s specific business needs and challenges
  • Ensure sufficient documentation of new opportunities to the operational and development teams, enabling efficient support of the solution
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure optimal integration of new solutions into existing operational workflows
  • Identify, summarize and communicate business requirements for enhanced solutions to Product Management, with the goal of informing future solutions
