At AMD, our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. When you join AMD, you’ll discover the real differentiator is our culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world’s most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond. Together, we advance your career. THE ROLE: As an Enterprise Software Architect, you will provide technical leadership in GPU architecture and production software stacks enablement that cover Data Center & Edge AI and Gaming for next‑generation GPU products. This software architect's role is to pull in all aspects of software from applications to AI models, to open ecosystem frameworks, to enterprise application suites, to kubernetes orchestration, and to RoCm libraries tools compilers and runtimes, and create software architecture plan of record together during the next cutting edge GPU architecture definition time. Provide Software architectural vision to improve Enterprise adoption for discrete GPU from a manageability and telemetry perspective via industry standard manageability tools (e.g. iDRAC, iLO, IPMI). You will serve as a bridging authority between software architecture and the hardware architecture and hardware ecosystem, ensuring that architectural intent translates into working, performant, and scalable solutions for partnerships established with software libraries teams. Focused on leading software planning for new GPU products introduction with accountability spanning early architecture definition, pre‑silicon modeling, and software readiness for emerging edge AI platforms and modern gaming systems. THE PERSON: A deeply technical leader who thrives in ambiguous, first‑of‑kind environments. You combine strong architectural intuition with hands‑on experience bringing up complex hardware platforms and enabling software stacks on new silicon. You are comfortable operating across layers — from architecture trade‑offs and interconnect topology down to firmware, drivers, and performance tooling — and you are trusted to make decisions when data is incomplete. You naturally connect and lead teams through technical credibility, clarifying intent, and reducing friction between hardware and software organizations.
