About The Position

Brightwell is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Executive to scale up our cross-border payments business with financial institutions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust sales strategies, generating and nurturing leads, building a high-quality pipeline, and successfully closing new business. We’re looking for a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of the sales lifecycle of financial institutions and a proven ability to consistently exceed revenue targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for delivering tailored solutions that address the unique needs of our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of business development experience in payments, preferably within a bank.
  • 5+ years of cross border payments experience – either in remittances or funds transfer.
  • Experience working successfully using a sales methodology (Challenger, NEAT, Sandler, etc.) and the ability to speak to your results.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell structured deals and manage complex negotiations.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Proven pipeline management and closing skills with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking – you’re strong on both IQ and EQ, as adept at reading data for insights as you are at reading clients for feedback.
  • Established comfort level in working with all levels of management, including C-suite.

  • MBA is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to target financial institutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and implementation teams to ensure alignment and success.
  • Remain current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Represent Brightwell at industry events and conferences.
  • Deliver agreed-upon new clients and contract renewals each year.
  • Exhibit patience with long sales cycles and continue to nurture the clients throughout this process.
  • Work with the Chief Revenue Officer to develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve targeted revenue growth.
  • Through a combination of warm leads and market research, identify and cultivate new business opportunities to expand Brightwell’s client base and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic and channel partners, and industry influencers to drive sales.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop effective sales collateral, content, and sales campaigns to support sales activities.
  • Provide accurate sales reports, analysis, and forecasts to senior management to support decision making.
