About The Position

Data privacy is a critical challenge for modern enterprises, especially with the rise of AI. Companies need to automate privacy and manage risk without hindering innovation. DataGrail offers the first agentic privacy platform and is experiencing significant growth. As an Enterprise Sales Development Representative, you will help leading organizations address these challenges by engaging with senior stakeholders in security, legal, and privacy teams. Your role will involve understanding their business priorities, identifying needs, and creating opportunities to modernize their privacy programs. This is a consultative role focused on understanding CISO and General Counsel concerns. DataGrail invests in its SDRs, viewing them as future sales leaders with a clear growth path to Account Executive.

Requirements

  • Experience or strong interest in enterprise B2B SaaS, with an understanding of selling to large organizations.
  • Exceptional research skills to map organizations, identify stakeholders, and build tailored points of view.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with executive presence to engage confidently with CISOs, General Counsels, Chief Privacy Officers, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • A consultative mindset, leading with insight and business value.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with the ability to act without every detail and thrive amid ambiguity.
  • A collaborative, team-first orientation.
  • AI Fluency: Leverage AI-powered tools (e.g., Clay, Apollo, ChatGPT, Gong, or similar) to accelerate research, personalize outreach at scale, and uncover account insights.
  • Curiosity, experimentation, and a hunger to use the best available tools to work smarter and drive better outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, or similar).
  • Experience in or strong interest in privacy, data governance, security, compliance, or other regulated/technical software categories.
  • Exposure to a modern GTM tech stack (Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Clay, ZoomInfo, or similar).
  • A track record of exceeding targets through curiosity, creativity, and consistent follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research on enterprise organizations to identify key decision-makers and analyze existing privacy programs to understand gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop account strategies demonstrating how DataGrail can address complex enterprise privacy challenges.
  • Build a highly personalized, multi-threaded outreach strategy with compelling, customized messaging for senior stakeholders.
  • Leverage research insights to position DataGrail as an ideal partner for large, complex organizations.
  • Orchestrate outreach across multiple contacts within an account to build consensus and drive urgency.
  • Engage with decision-makers to uncover and document business needs related to privacy, data governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Account Executives to map needs to DataGrail solutions.
  • Navigate complex organizational structures and long buying cycles typical of enterprise accounts.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly KPIs, booking qualified meetings and driving high-value opportunities.
  • Balance quality, executive-level outreach with the volume required to build a healthy enterprise pipeline.
  • Actively share best practices and collaborate with peers to enhance team performance and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Help develop and scale effective enterprise prospecting strategies.
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate research, personalize outreach, and uncover account insights.
  • Use AI to draft, refine, and test messaging, applying sound judgment to the final output.
  • Stay current on how AI is transforming data privacy, governance, risk, and compliance.
  • Develop a point of view on how DataGrail's agentic privacy platform helps organizations navigate the evolving AI landscape.
