About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO), the Enterprise Quality Leader is Atmus’ senior enterprise leader responsible for defining, implementing, and governing the global quality strategy. This role ensures that quality is built into every stage of the product lifecycle—from product and process development through supplier readiness, manufacturing, delivery, and field performance. The Enterprise Quality Leader will establish a consistent, prevention-based quality operating system across Atmus and strengthen the capabilities, processes, and accountability required to deliver safe, reliable products that meet customer, regulatory, and business expectations. As the enterprise voice of quality, this leader will partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Development, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Commercial, and functional leaders to improve customer experience, reduce risk and cost of poor quality, and build a culture in which quality is owned at every level of the organization. Candidates should be located in Nashville, TN, or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided, with eligibility determined at the discretion of the hiring manager. Additionally, this role requires up to 30-50% travel, both domestically and internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership within a global manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record leading multi-site or multi-region quality operations.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, or other relevant standards depending on industry.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt strongly preferred.
  • Deep expertise in QMS design, statistical process control, and advanced quality tools.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, from plant floor to executive leadership and customers.
  • Demonstrated success driving cultural change and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a global quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives and growth plans.
  • Establish and maintain a world-class quality management system (QMS) across all regions.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for quality transformation initiatives, digital quality tools, and advanced analytics.
  • Lead global quality teams, including plant quality managers, quality engineers, auditors, and compliance specialists.
  • Oversee incoming, in process, and final inspection processes to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Ensure robust root cause analysis, corrective action (CAPA), and preventive action processes.
  • Maintain global oversight of supplier quality, including audits, scorecards, and performance improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards (ISO, FDA, EPA, OSHA, industry-specific requirements).
  • Lead internal and external audits; manage relationships with regulatory bodies and certification agencies.
  • Oversee documentation, change control, and quality records management.
  • Serve as the executive point of contact for major customer quality issues, escalations, and strategic reviews.
  • Drive improvements in customer satisfaction metrics, warranty performance, and field reliability.
  • Partner with commercial teams to support new product introductions and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies across global sites.
  • Implement standardized processes, metrics, and dashboards to monitor quality performance.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global quality organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Ensure succession planning and capability development for critical quality roles.
