About The Position

The Top Hat & FEA-x Quality Lead aggregates the former DQL (Top Hat Quality Lead) and FEA-x Quality Lead roles into a single end-to-end Quality authority embedded within the FEA-x organization. The role ensures robust launches of Top Hat programs and serial life windows sharing the same electrical architecture. This position acts as the Quality integrator between Top Hat programs and the FEA-x machinery. The global mission is to guarantee quality readiness at Top Hat launch, ensure electrical architecture consistency across programs, anticipate and mitigate quality risks before SOP, and drive robust convergence of electrical software and functional topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• A minimum of 8 years experience in engineering and/or quality
• Deep understanding of Functional PDP & EHE deliverables, SW and Connectivity development plan
• Knowledge of service and manufacturing processes
• Proven launch management exposure
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders
• Strong risk assessment and recovery planning capability

Responsibilities

• Quality Governance of Top Hat Programs: Target deployment and Quality metrics achievement. Ensure compliance to Functional PDP and EHE legacy deliverables. Identify missing or weak deliverables impacting launch quality. Challenge program teams on readiness gaps.
• Program Quality Assessment (with FEAs & SSTMs): Drive structured Design reviews covering Quality Status, Functional design readiness, Feature availability, Validation maturity, Software robustness including DTC convergence, APQP status, DFMEA/PFMEA completion. Critical issue identification and prioritization. Burn-down follow-up. Escalation management (FEW / TCCB / Project review). EE BOM maturity. Packaging & schematics releases. 12v energy system compliance. Diagnosis strategy compliance. EOL / Flashing convergence. Industrial readiness consistency.
• Lessons Learned & Continuous Improvement: Ensure lessons learned are properly captured at Top Hat level. Guarantee effective re-injection into future programs sharing same architecture. Capitalize systemic issues across EHE + FEA-x perimeter.
• Risk & Deferral Governance: Risk assessment for issues entering the deferral process – Evaluate severity, occurrence, and detection to support go/no-go recommendations and appropriate containment strategies. Quality position in Industrial and Deferral Committees – Represent the Quality standpoint, ensuring decisions are data-driven and aligned with customer and brand expectations. Customer impact assessment and mitigation – Ensure impacts are fully understood (field, service, manufacturing) and that mitigation plans are defined, validated, and tracked to closure.
• Recovery & Convergence Leadership: Build robust recovery plans with SSTMs when required – Define containment, corrective actions, verification steps, and timing to recover milestone readiness and protect SOP delivery. Drive cross-functional alignment (EHE / SWE / CCLP / Vehicle Engineering) – Facilitate shared prioritization, clear ownership, and synchronized execution across functions to remove blockers quickly. Secure quality convergence prior to key milestones and SOPM up to MPTR – Monitor convergence indicators and enforce closure of critical gaps to achieve a stable, customer-ready product at each gate.
